Molding Analysis Equipment

MOLD FLOW
  • Purpose of use of M/F: Check any problems which could happen during ejection process through conducting injection molding analysis before and after test injection of a mold
  • M/F/ Usage principle: Using a unit called mash, it calculates information according to each section and show the data such as temperature, pressure, volume and other matters through pictures and graphs.
  • How to use M/F: Converting Calia file, create Mash for each section, and give data values according to Mash, and finally model them using Software

DSC(Differential Scanning Calorlmeter)
  • Analysis purpose: Analyze glass transition temperature, a melting point, decomposition temperature, thermostability, thermer capacity and other features which are inherent properties of each substance.
  • Analyzing heat flux which occurs by increasing a constant temperature, it is possible to analyse various thermal behaviors with measurements of caloric value and the amount of heat absorption depending on phase and temperature difference
  • Analysis method: Analyze by preconditioning a sample with a volume of approximately 50 mg and below in the cell

TGA(ThermoGravimetric Analysis)

TMA(Thermo Mechanical Analysis)
  • Analysis purpose: to investigate pyrolysis, solid state reaction, liquid evaporation, and sublimation, dehydration, absorption and reaction rate of solid
  • Analysis principle: As a sample is heated at a given temperature, measures the composition and temperature stability of a substance through the mass change of a sample depending on the temperature change
  • Analysis method: measure the weight while heating the sample

HDT(Heat Deflection Temp)
  • Analysis purpose: to investigate the temperature at which constant deformation of the sample takes place
  • Analysis principle; expresses thermal deformation due to bending stress of the sample
  • Analysis method: obverve by putting the sample in oil and increasing the temperature to a certain point

Impact Test Equipment

IZOD
  • Analysis purpose: Used for researches on polymorphic variations such as swelling, glass transition, shrinkage of material, volume change
  • Analysis principle: Measurement of size change due to expansion and contraction of the sample
  • Analysis method: Measured through Porbe motion in defecation sample

CHARPY
  • Evaluate the impact value at the moment of destruction by hitting with a hammer the back of the notch, supporting both ends of the sample

DUPONT
  • Evaluate the impact value when a surface of a sample is fixed and destroyed by hitting with a weight

Surface Hardness Testing Equipment

Sapphire tester
  • Analysis purpose: to test the stiffness based on scratches produced on the surface of a sample
  • Analysis principle: shown by scratching a sample in one line using sapphire
  • Analysis method: observe the creation of traces of scratch by sapphire

ROCK WELL
  • Analysis purpose: measure the stiffness of the surface of a material
  • Analysis principle: repulsive foce due to the virtual pressure of push pin set
  • Analysis method: measures by applying push pin set on the surface of a sample

Pencil Hardness Tester
  • Analysis purpose: to measure the hardness based on ability to scratch the surface using a pencil
  • Analysis principle: to measure the surface change of a material by scraping the surface of a material at an angle of 45 °, 60 °, and 90 ° with a constant load applied on a standard pencil
  • Analysis method: observe creation of a trace of the pencil

Stress Testing Equipment

UTM(Universal Testing Equipment)
  • Analysis purpose: basic test to investigate the mechanical properties of a material
  • Analysis principle: measure the LOAD value against a power which occurs by applying a work to the sample in constant direction, power, and time
  • Analysis method: evaluate a property of matter against strain of stress

Spectrometer

FT-IR(Fourier Transform IR)
  • Analysis purpose: identification of various functional groups, molecular structure identification reaction rate depending on intrinsic wavelength absorption of various materials and reaction process researches, examination of hydrogen bonding, quantitative analysis and purity measurement
  • Analysis principle: investigating the degree of absorption of infrared rays, express in a spectrum the features of vibration depending on molecular actions including molecular vibration, rotation and transition
  • Analysis method: various test methods such as liquid phase, solid phase and powder possible

  • Analysis purpose: test the electrical resistance of a material
  • Analysis principle: measure the flow of current or static electricity
  • Analysis method: measure a current through the sample using an amperermeter by applying a constant voltage to the two electrodes

Optical Microscope
  • Analysis purpose: observe by enlarging a observation-target image using light
  • Analysis principle: using an occular, reenlarge the image which is obtained by placing it close to an object lense of a short focal distance
